I pull mine every year. Besides not wanting them to disappear, I don't like them rusting up.

I pull mine usually. I do have one I put way back in a hemlock swamp. Right now there's a bunch of snow on top of swampand it's a half mile walk. We're suppose to get about at least another foot tomorrow and Sunday. I may not see that stand until spring.

If mine are in good spots, I leave them up. I put a chain and turnbuckle around mine to make them more secure and I just go around and take the cushions and rachet straps off and loosen the turnbuckle a little bit and leave them.

I mostly hunt from my climber. But I have a few hangons I leave up all year just to reserve MY area of the woods. I loosen the strap a little so the tree can grow.I share these woods with a couple of other guys who like to move in on my areas if they don't see a stand hung.
