Blood trails
#1
Mods, if any of you think this is in bad taste, go ahead and delete it. I was just wondering if anyone has any pictures of some blood trails that they have had to follow.

I have picutes of the pass through arrow...still in the groundand initial blood spot from the buck I shot on Sunday. I'm on travel now and it's on my home computer, but I'll post it tomorrow when I get back if you want.

I had my camera with me a few years ago when I killed this one and was able to take these photos. (Pics on Webshots album.)

I think this is a great idea especially if we could get pics of different types of blood trails (i.e. lung shot, paunch shot, unknown shot, etc.)
JMO but it IS an intrical part of hunting. (And I probably spelled "intrical" wrong, but it was my big word for the day.)

Todd, That shot was from a stand. When I initially field dressed the deer, I thought my homemade head was lost. When my knife hit steel upon butchering, however, I realized the head had lodged deeply in the far leg bone. It took a pair of big pliers and alot of muscle to get it out. Apparently, the deer's legs acted like scissors when it took off and sheared the arrow off right behind the head.

My slick trick doe last year. The best bloodtrail I've ever seen.
