Blood trails
Mods, if any of you think this is in bad taste, go ahead and delete it. I was just wondering if anyone has any pictures of some blood trails that they have had to follow.

RE: Blood trails
I had my camera with me a few years ago when I killed this one and was able to take these photos. (Pics on Webshots album.)

RE: Blood trails
I think this is a great idea especially if we could get pics of different types of blood trails (i.e. lung shot, paunch shot, unknown shot, etc.)
JMO but it IS an intrical part of hunting. (And I probably spelled "intrical" wrong, but it was my big word for the day.) |

RE: Blood trails
Todd, That shot was from a stand. When I initially field dressed the deer, I thought my homemade head was lost. When my knife hit steel upon butchering, however, I realized the head had lodged deeply in the far leg bone. It took a pair of big pliers and alot of muscle to get it out. Apparently, the deer's legs acted like scissors when it took off and sheared the arrow off right behind the head.

RE: Blood trails
My slick trick doe last year. The best bloodtrail I've ever seen.
