I want to help feed the hungrey

If any one knows of a good place to donate deer for hungry in Illinois, I’m in McHenry County. Please let me know. My freezer is full and I would like to help others.

Check with the church; ask your neighbors, friends, etc...
I have donated 5, so far, this season. You have to do a little asking during the off-season.....but it's worth it. I've got a place for as many as I can harvest.
When I donate deer, though, it goes to the people already packaged/processed. My processor waives his fee for the meat I donate (donate to a family of 14). There are organizations, too....FHFH is one. I'm sure you could do an internet search and find more. Check your state's DNR/Resources Comm. home page.

Here in Iowa you can take it to yer local butcher shop and donate it to the food bank and they just take it from there. I think that donating yer game is one of the best things you can do if you aren't interested in eating it yerself. Very noble indeed.
