Default Missed a Big One!! Need advice

Well I went hunting last night at a stand of mine that sets on a crossing from field to field where the farmer can take the equipment across the creek. That night I hadnt seen any deer except for the 4 coyotes that walked by the stand.

Right before dark I hear somtin walking through the trees behind me. So I grab my bow stand up in my stand and prepare for this deer to walk out and hopefully geta good shot on him. He walks out and starts to walk down the trail.....but not the way I wanted him to. I pulled.....got him to stop but when he stopped he stopped behind some pretty thick brush. It was going to be a tough shot but I thought I could shoot through this gap in the brush. Right after I shot I hear my arrow smack into a branch.[:@]

The Buck just ran about 3 steps and then started walking down the trail and kept walking right back into a different spot of trees. So I dont think I really spooked him all that much and Im hoping to get another chance at him. What do you guys think?

He will stick around. Learn from that bad shot and make a good one next time.

My advice since you asking for advice, shoot the coyotes, don't shoot through brush!

He didn't know what happened, if he didn't wind you, he has no idea, he's around.

With the rut starting up you never know were they will end up. He may be there the next day or a mile away. I'd say he will be through there sooner or later. I missed a 140 inch 8 pointer yesterday. I'm going to back out for 2 days they go back.
