Which Broadheads
#1
Hey everyone
I just bought my first bow (PSE Beast).Anyhow, I was wondering what grain of broadhead I should get for my bow for turkeys. My draw length is 29-30 and I am at 60 pounds. My arrows are 2315.
Thanks

Most likely either 100 or 125 grn heads will work with your setup. The key is to pick the same weight field points, and make sure you tune your bow and arrow combination correctly. With your draw weight and arrow selection I would start out with the 125 grn heads, but that is only for me. The main thing is to tune your bow properly with whatever head you decided to use. The 100 grn hammerheads are excellent for turkeys, but with your setup I would not use them on bigger game.

Go with 100 grain. If your goin for turkeys then definatly go with a wide cutting diameter mechanical like the vortex or rocket. My opinion on turkey arrows is go light. You can take longer shots cause its flatter and the arrow will stay in. I dont recomend that for deer though.
