Well guys, IM excited
Today got in the stand about 230. So im siyt there till about 6 and i havent seen anythin g so im pissed and head back since there is only 20 minutes of light. I know stupid to leave. So i walk about 300 yards and instead of goin around the road i said to myself, forget it might as well cut across the gully. SO i cut across. About a minute after i cross, WHOA a good probly 3 year old tall thick 10 runs into the woods. about 18 in spread. So i get to my dad he was also watchin the buck but didnt want to kill it. He tryed to call me but i had no service so we said ok lets check the cam. SO we head to the back feeder. We both get out and are checking the trail cam. And my dad says what is that. AA deer HUGE deer we couldnt tell buck or doe we just knew deer. So my dad slowly walked about 2 yards to the truck and got binocs and it was the 8 on the ic i wanted someone to fix.He slowly backed into the woods. Funny thing is he was walkin right to the feeder. Well ill be back on stand tomorrow. Just thjought i would let everyone know how my day went.

Never leave your stand before the last sec. of legal shooting time. In my area the deer are comming out about 20 minutes before dark. I was pinned down in my stand tonight by 3 does and a small buck for 30 minutes after dark waiting on them to meander on thru. In the dark I heard 2 other bucks across the way having a little sparing match. Big bucks usually let the women and children come out first to test the waters so to speak then come out about 20 minutes later.

U dont have to preach to me. ?I know i messed up. Where the 8 walked across it would have been about a 20 yard shot. Man i couldnt believe how big he was. I bet he would field dress at least 200#

Well droptine ill be there tomorrow. I dont think i spooked him he slowly turned back to the edge of the woods the it was too dark. Ive seen him at the feeder several times(at night checkin on things) So im not worried Hopefully if im in till dark tomorrow hell come on by lookin for a bite. Hes real old, probly gone down in horn size since previous years.
