Ours is more like 10:1, we don't even have a statewide antlerless bag anymore, just county bag limits. Indiana is a meat hunters wet dream.

I would say by guessing and visual sightings our ratio on our property would be 8 does to 1 buck. We definetly need to thin some does.

Counting walking in and out of the woods.

1 unknown
4 bucks(those are for certain)

Well, I hunt where only a buck or fewbucks live. I spend very little time in and around the doe familys until here in a week or two....Deer here are spread way out and have lots of room to find a nesting area in these forests.
If I took a count in the draws and around homes it would be 2 or 3 does.. versus 1 buck and mostly baby bucks in those areas....the doe pop maybe even higher...
If I count where I actually hunt its 10 bucks sighting in a weeks time to every 3-4 does in my stand areas..... sometimes I go a week without seeing a single doe..especially outside of the rut.
Over all if I had to guess I would say my buck to doe ratio is 1 buck to every2 does over all.. Just a guess...maybe 3 doe to 1 buck.. still not a bad ratio..

In No. Wis. at my stand this year i have seen @16-18 does and 3 bucks (one Button, 1 decent 6 and a nice 2.5-3.5 yo 8). In my yard i have seen @30-35 does and 3 bucks (a button, 1 spike and a 6'er) the fields are full of does this time of year in the evenings and only a few bucks sighted...but a couple of decent ones.... You can see the ratio around me is a stagering 7,8 to 1. I do take 2-3 does per year and would hope others would do the same....
