Default Your Buck to doe Ratio (actual sightings)

Hunting year to date if you were to strictly take the numbers of confirmed sightings what would your buck to doe ratio be over all the lands you hunt.

I'm not naive enough to believe this is accurate..I just find the number staggerring.

I have seen 10 different racked bucks and 4 Doe

There have been other "deer" that have been spooked on the way in or spottted moving at a distance with no confirmation of sex.

I would say by guessing and visual sightings our ratio on our property would be 8 does to 1 buck. We definetly need to thin some does.

In my last 3 hunts I have seen 33 does and 1 fork and 1 spike.
So, 33:2.
And no, I'm not kidding.
Spotlighting the local fields at home the last time I was there, I saw 44 does and one forkhorn in 2.5 miles.

Ours is more like 10:1, we don't even have a statewide antlerless bag anymore, just county bag limits. Indiana is a meat hunters wet dream.

I haven't kept count but I know I've seen at least 35-40 doe's and only 3 bucks from the stand. None of the bucks were shooters. Here in west central WI the buck to doe ratio is way out of whack. I don't know why people don't shoot more doe's. I usally take three doe's a year. I just don't get it!

5 does 1 buck. That's if you take the fawns out of the mix.

My hunting log shows 44 total deer sighted - 11 antlered, 33 antlerless or unconfirmed.

1:3 buck:doe ratio.
