I here of people putting estrus scent on their thermacells during the rut, what do they use for the pads? Can you buy the pads without the bug repellent on them or do they make their own?

I was considering just using one of the burned out pads. After about three hours the pad is burned white. I put one in a ziplock baggie with some scent and it seemed to soak it up pretty good. Haven't put it in the Thermacell yet, so I don't know if it'll work.

They sell scent pads at Wally World......I haven't tried them though!
