huntin kansas river bottom bucks

hi i was wondering if anyone had any advice on hunting riverbottom bucks? where i live ther is alot of food and im surrounded by river. the deer have patterns but not like any others ive ever seen they are here then there not.

i would guess it would have alot to do w/ the level of river at diff. times. because if theyre constantly having to cross rivers then theyll have to cross whereever they can if the water rises. i guess all the advise i can give you is try to find the "highest" elevation wise (lowest water level) crossing pt. or funnel and tryand get one there

Since I'm assuming that the land you are hunting is fairly flat, look for travel corridors & trails between the bedding and feeding areas.

I hunt some river bottom in NE Kansas. The key is to look for pinch points and funnels. The bucks grow big in bottom land. Other spots to look for are the big oaks that line the river dropping acorns. If you need some more info give me a pm.
