I just got the buck roar since i heard alot of good talk about it...i will be trying it out tomorrow evening after school hopefully it will work so i ws wondering if anyone else has had success with the roar for calling in bucks and does the snort wheez work good...thanks for the help fellas

i usally dont use it till mid - rut

but i have had great succes with it.
i had a buck last year come back 3 times just to investigate.

I use the buck growl and love it, you wont get anything to come in this early with the growl but I grunted in a doe saturday mornign but she was too small to shoot.

Can you also use it like a regular grunt call? I don't want to have more calls than I need.

I had good luck w/ the mad growl. last year, I 'growled' and rattled really hard and brought in a small buck. that buck was looking for something. it couldn't find anything and walked away. I did it again and it came right back (i shot the doe that was w/ it and passed on the buck). i've never seen a deer react like that. it could have been the rattling, I don't know.
