I'm seriously considering picking up one of these. I just wanted to get some feedback from any of you who have used it. I sat in one last year at a show...super comfortable. I'm getting ready to go on a week long trip, and will be hunting alot -- many all day hunts. Most of the hang on stands I have ever sat in wear you out after 4-5hrs max. I know I could hunt out of this one all day. PLUS (and a big plus to me) I also like the idea of being able to have many stand setups, with one stand. (hangingthe "brackets" in many spots--then just slide my stand in to whatever spot I want to go to). I will also be using my climber some as well--so I am good there.
I just wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has actually used this stand before I buy it. Pro's, con's, tips....etc.
Thanks!
-Mike

I have just had my millenium this year. I have 6 extra brackets for a total of 7 including the one that comes with it. it takes about 5 sec. to set up the bracket - with alot less work than normal stands, made setting up stands quite a bit easier this year for me. i found the stand to be asvery solid and stable - i can stand any edge and not have it move at all. at 7 brackets, i'm a little under $50 dollars per stand site and i don't have to worry about locks or people stealing my stand, the only inconvienence is carrying the stand in each time - but instead of the 10 minute set up time with my LW climber, i now have a 10 sec or less set up time and even quieter. carries well, quiet while carrying, though an extra bungee around the stand takes out the last bit of noise. i thought the platform was a tad squeky so i put coma silencing tape on the rungs. the stand does not make any pinging sound that i've noticed like some square tube stands do when brush and sticks hit it. don't know yet how it handles cold weather, if it make any popping or creaking noises in the cold? not as wide open on the sides but still no problems for me shooting from a sitting position, some people may have trouble shoooting a bow from a sitting position because of the seat design being somewhat of a bucket seat. super large platform though with the seat down it limits the amount of platform avaialable. Real easy to hands free move the seat up by just stepping back into the seat with your leg. absolutely silent too.
i used it for the 1st time this spring on a bear hunt, and the comfort is undescribable, i sat for over 6 hours and never made the slightest adjustment, not a 1/4 inch even, to reposition myself. i just never even thought about it, my body never once told me, "hey move a little and i'll be more comfortable" - the seat is just amazing. I shot my bear from a seated position and i thought it was a breeze. my BIL i think also shot his bear from a seated position and we both really liked the stand alot. probably not a good stand if you have a lot of crooked trees. one benefit is that if you come across a really huge tree that you have your heart set on setting up a stand in, just add more chain to the bracket and you are good to go.
My opinion with limited experience, season starts saturday so i really be putting it to the test now, at worst i'll get some good naps in.

Buy it!!! 2 years now with almost every stand site a Millenium Bracket. I add two receivers a year up to 11 now (came with one). Like Shaky says 30$ ladder and 21$ receiver there you go. No elevated foot rail which would be nice but one could be added from aluminum and the local weld shop. Platform is help up closed when walking by elastic strap. Mine wore out so I tie my jacket in between the seat and platform and carry it upside down so it doesn't get seperated by your momentum when walking. Just be careful putting it in the bracket each time. Easy opportunity for an accident.
I take mine home each session for security reasons. When I am not in the stand no one can use it as there is just the cam lock in the tree. Bottom line here 200$, you'll love it take the plunge.

Shaky...thanks for the info, I appreciate it. What you described is exactly why I am thinking about it. To me comfort and saftey are huge when it comes to picking a stand. I've been in some stands that wore me out completely after 3-4 hours, I know this one won't do that.
Anyone else have experience with it?
Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah... another advantage is I have two buddies come up to hunt here. They both bought there own Millenium's so they can hunt in my brackets so I don't have to sit out and play the fence row ladders everyday.
The platform has the bars and they are real non slip as well. All day not a problem with the mesh seat. Tree rats won't eat the nylon seat material like they will padding.
WE must have posted at the same time so look above as well.

I LOVE mine... It puts all other stands to shame in the comfort department... My long term goal is to completely over haul my fixed stands to be millenium systems..... I just have to decide what I'm going to do with 15 lock on stands....

another thing i like is there bow holder - an extra 20 dollars but i really like how close it keeps the bow to my hand to minimze movement. it might not be for everyone but i liked it.

Ok, thanks alot guys. I was already about 90% sure....but you solidified my decision. I am ordering the stand and 8 brackets! I will get my climbing sticks from Sportsman's guide...they are decent quality, cheap price. I'm done with screw in steps, that's for sure!
Thanks for all the help...hopefully I'll post a hammer soon that I got out of my new stand!
