I'm with you guys. I've been cursing the weather channel for two weeks now waiting for this heat to break. I don't know if it's global warming or what, but this is frickin' ridiculous. We need a couple of good frosts to knock down some of the leaves, ferns, and vegetation.
And don't get me started on the skeeters.....

Also being from jersey, i know exactly what your talking about. I was out this morning before work and it was the same thing, warm with no deer movement. The first cold snap better get here quick.

Just think, down here in the deep south, we have to deal with these conditions until late November and sometime well into DECEMBER! [:@] I don't want to hear anymore of you folks that hunt up north complain about hunting in the heat[:-]

It's all mindset. Try a thermacell for the bugs. I am from the North and now live in NC. Get a thermocell and some cool light camo. Deer movement is still pretty good, I have been hunting since August 15th when I went to SC for the opener. Good Luck

If I was raised hunting in the heat I guess I would be moretolerable of it.....but I wasn't. Usually there's some cool weather in late Sept. and Oct. there's plenty of frost. It's really kind of disheartening. It seems weather has changed dramatically in the past 3 or 4 years. Even our snow storms have dropped off. If we get one or two a year it's alot. I remember in the late 70's being snowed in to whereyou couldn't drive out of your yard many times throughout the winter. Now our storms are just a few inches at that, then by morning it meltsaway.
Anyway my point was it doesn't feel like the season.....here. I feel for you, having to hunt in the heat all of the time.....especially in Jan. I wouldn't be able to cope.

When the frost is on the pumpkin...is like turning on the key.

.........good luck this season.
