Just think, down here in the deep south, we have to deal with these conditions until late November and sometime well into DECEMBER! [:@] I don't want to hear anymore of you folks that hunt up north complain about hunting in the heat[:-]

You'll be fine this weekend. Cold front coming through near the end of the week. I'm not talking 30-40 but 75 will be the high. Mornings should be real nice
It's 90 today here in WV but relief is in site

Ohio's weather sucks too. Opener is this Saturday. You just have to come to accept the heat if you want to hunt early season. Ohio never really cools off until late Oct. Heat sucks...

Same thing up here, hot and dry. I hunted yesterday in shorts and no shirt. Pinning the tag to my back hurt like heck. lol Once to my stand I got dressed but only to stop the blood loss from the mosquito's. I put on a mesh face mask that has felt around the eyes and felt pretty protected. Didn't know they were drilling me above that felt strip, just below the hair line. I've got about 12 bits there.
The ones I don't like are on my hand. Not sure what got me or when, but it swells up and feels like a burn blister. Keeps filling up and after a few days gets real red ring around the blist. Friends from that area tell me it's some kind of spider bite. They say its a little brown spider thats fast as heck but can't remember the name. I got one on my left hand about a week ago and then another yesterday.
Wood tics have been real bad this time of year in years past but haven't seen a one out lately.
