..........I'm literally bombarded with green heads.
Down in La. that's a good thing

. I hope to be bombardedby them in Dec. and Jan.BTW, have you ever heard of thermacell? Come down and hunt in La. a few days. You will love the Jersey weather when you get back

.
If I was raised hunting in the heat I guess I would be moretolerable of it.....but I wasn't. Usually there's some cool weather in late Sept. and Oct. there's plenty of frost. It's really kind of disheartening. It seems weather has changed dramatically in the past 3 or 4 years. Even our snow storms have dropped off. If we get one or two a year it's alot. I remember in the late 70's being snowed in to whereyou couldn't drive out of your yard many times throughout the winter. Now our storms are just a few inches at that, then by morning it meltsaway.
Anyway my point was it doesn't feel like the season.....here. I feel for you, having to hunt in the heat all of the time.....especially in Jan. I wouldn't be able to cope.
When the frost is on the pumpkin...is like turning on the key.
.........good luck this season.
