[:@] Ok i was up in my stand at about 6:30 last night. A doe came in I shot and hit it in the middle of the body kind of a bad shto it looked like so I figured the deer should sit over night. The deer ran past my dad and he said it sounded like it whent down the hill and snorted at him. After hardly any sleep last night I get up at 5:30 and go look for the deer. There is very little blood a drop every 20 yeards or so I find one really good spot of bright red blood with bubbles (I think this means lung but not sure) keep going down the trial and find half of my arrow and then two more drops of blood and no more what do you think happend we look untill 11:30
Help me out I cant stop thinking about this and think there is more I could have done.

when you said you found bubbles it sounded like a lung shot,in these cases the deer bleeds internaly and you pretty much have to get lucky to find her,you will probably run past her on coincidence trackin another deer or somethn, sorry you couldnt find her, thats just the way this game is sometimes

How far was the shot? How high were you in the tree? MIddle of the deer was probaly liver/guts. Bubbles are always good, you may have just clipped 1 lung.
How far did you follow the blood trail? How did you look once you lost the trail? circles, grid pattern? Thickets, water?

we did a circle patteren on the deer there was a drop about the size of a dime for the last blood it was a grass trail about 3 feet wide that whent between a thicket and a 80 arce swamp.

The bubbles could meana couple ofthings, one is that you clipped one lung (extremely hard to recover).Other reasonsinclude (but not as common)is that you could have clippedthe wind pipe, the deer was spitting blood, or air/gas could be escaping the body along with blood.

The first deer that I took with a bow was a buck, with a low poundage bow. I hithigh on a broadside shot without a pass-through/exit hole. Followed the path he took and only found one drop of blood about the size of a nickel, found him the next day, he had bled internally. Sounds like that may be your case. If able I'd go look some more.
