Default STAND SITE

EXCUSE THE PICTURE I STOLE IT FROM GOOGLE MAPS, ANYWAYS THIS IS MY SET UP. I WAS THINKING OF HUNTING STAND 2, BUT IT IS IN THE OAK BOTTOMAND I FIGURE IF I CAN HUNT THE ROAD AT STAND 1 I MAY CAN CATCH THEM COMING AND GOING TO THE HARDWOOD BOTTOM WHERE THE ACORNS ARE FALLING. I FIGURE EARLY IN THE MORNING THEY MAY BE HEADED BACK TO THE BEDDING AREA OR LATE IN THE EVENING HEADED TO THE BOTTOM. i AM SET UP FOR THE KIND OF WIND i EXPECT ALSO. IT IS A MANAGEMENT AREA AND i CANT DRIVE ANY CLOSER, ITS A LIL HIKE BUT THEY ARE CROSSING THAT ROAD LIKE CRAZY...

Sounds good, let us know. Question, is that a crop field or just a clearing and if it's crop, what's planted.

Also, I'm yet to figure out how to put google or anything else for that matter with my own, tweaks or marks on them. Anybody want to help out a gimp?

No that is just a clear cut, mostly pine trees planted by forestry companies. When the acorns start falling in the lil bottoms it can be a good place to hunt that the only acorns for a few miles. but what you are referring to is a thicket and the deer are utilizing a trail between the smaller trees and the larger ones. They are crossing the road and going into the bottom, I figure if I can get in ther quiet enough I could catch them coming out of the bottom back to the bedding area, or I may catch them in the evening going in also its on a road so the noise level will be down while walking in. There are some bucks in there cause I see alot of rubs from last year. There arent alot of hardwoods around and there isnt any fields, although we do have about 10 acres of corn the deer are hitting I have yet to find a place to hang a stand though.

As far as the google, I just a did a screen print ( Ctrl, Alt, Prt Scrn ) all at the same time, then you go to Microsoft paint and right click and hit paste. Then once it comes up you can edit off everything you dont need and it will let you mark on it or whatever. Once you are done you can save it as a JPEG. It is pretty easy to do, try it if you cant do it pm me and I will help you out.... Take care...

I figured out the picture thing and got it to paint.

Good looking spot then as your describing it. I think you have it down pretty good. Good luck and update us through the season.
