How many of you are into guns as much as archery?

That's like asking if you like blondes, brunettes, or redheads. I love archery season because of the anticipation, the challenge, and the focus it brings. However, gun season is more relaxing in a way. Plus, I enjoy just walking around with a gun sometimes, kinda still hunting but just kinda enjoying the day.

Is the question , "Are you a bow hunter only?" than no!
I love waiting for bow season to start. I have been shooting since I was ten at rabbits.
But I also love my Knight 50 cal. Muzzy before rifle!!
I also love my Marlin 30-30 crawling in the thickets!
I also love my Rem 7600 30-06 in big cut-overs!
And when I have filled tags, I love my 44 mag pistol to finish the season!
I love being in the woods period!

I was into guns before I was into archery.... but would prefer archery over guns...
Still really enjoy waterfowling and sporting clays/trap...

I usually take one deer with a gun and the other with a bow. I like both equally but i must say I am finding I am enjoying bow hunting much more. I'll have to wait until firearm season to see what happens.

just curious, is the stock curly maple? looks great!
What's funny....after hunting deer for several weeks with a bow, picking up even that flintlock is a big step forward in technology....

I love them both to me seeing my big lab birdy during Pheasant season is just as much fun as bowhunting. If you kill something in the morning you feel good all day long! 22 shot guns and rifles my favorite (ruger red label) only one bow but a new power tech. Started with a $100 bear white tail 2 many years ago.

In my opinion, some of the best looking wood for a stock is curly maple, good choice.

Thanks guys, yes, its curly maple...It's my interpretation of what could have been made and used in the Piedmont of NC during the time of the Revolution...I've shot flintlocks over 30 years, if money was no object I'd be teaching American History or making and talking flintlocks at Williamsburg...
