How many of you are into guns as much as archery?

I love to shoot sporting clays and trap and hunt birds. If I have a tag I will go out with my muzzleloader. I have a bunch of guns but for the most part they just sit in the safe.BOW IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO!!!!

I'm into themand have a whole pile of them. I grew up both gun and bow hunting but don't hunt big game with rifles anymore. Haven't taken a big game animal with a rifle in years.
I love to shoot scatterguns and hunt birds. I'll buy shotguns until I'm no longer able.
I still shoot a lot of Prarie Dogs and coyotes with my 22-250 but it is the only rifle that I shoot anymore.

I'm an archery guy. I love taking down big game with the bow. It feels more like you earned it, but I still do my share of small game hunting with the shotguns. I also love target shooting with my bow, but I don't think it beats shooting some clays.

Wow, I didn't think I would get this many responses! I posted this before I went to bed last night and came back this afternoon to 5 pages! Some really great thoughts in here. It's interesting to here everyone's stances and opinions. I guess when it comes down to it, I like guns for shooting fun, although I will take my bow ANY day over my guns for hunting. I still gun hunt for many of the reasons stated here (tradition, family bonding, etc). I'm a very competitive person and have found that target shooting my bow really tries my patiences, nerves, and overall physical abilities. It's such a challenge to do very well, and I love that. In fact I actually am a general fan of archery shooting even more than harvesting an animal with my bow.

i have been gun hunting for the past 14 years and still love it. ive always had a bow to shoot but have never been bow hunting because the season is always during the time that i have helping my dad harvest his crops. ive decided to get into bow hunting this year and am looking forward to it. i just hope that in 14 years i am still as excited about it as gun hunting. but then again, any time it the woods is better than not being there.

just curious, is the stock curly maple? looks great!
AS far as guns vs. archery, I have always liked archery hunting way better. In the last few years i have hunted with fire arms less and less. This season will most likely be all archery. I did drag out the shotgun for some doves the other day.
