Guide or Bowhunt? BAH!!!
#1
So I am in yet, another perdicament as I have to choose between helping the family buisness (Golden Acres Outfitters) by guiding and taking hunters to and from the stands, scouting, hang stands, all that jazz.....or bowhunt this year and be in the field OFTEN, and hunt and not worry about the guiding thing this year. I think what I am going to do is hunt this year, help out around camp i.e. gutting, skinning, caping.... I am undecided though, I feel ultimate satisfactory by Actually hunting, or feeling the joy and pleassure of setting others up on deer. I am LOST! bah this, HELP!

I understand you want to help your family and all, but you have to do WHATS GOING TO MAKE YOU HAPPY!. If that means hunting then hunt, unless your family really needs you. I think you know at heart whether or not you should help them.

Why not both? Hang th etsnads and all that is involved, but keep a place for yourself as well. Drop your clients off,and head to yoru stand. One word of advice about that---when you do make a kill, don't show it in front of clients, especially ones who don't. I worked as a manger of a Plantation, and I have a friend who guides, and I help him , occasionally, and this is whatI did and what he and do whenI help him out.
