I don't know if this is related or not but yesterday a friend of a friend was showing us pictures of a larged rack'd deer that he shot in the head. Just seeing the picture burned my b@lls. Thenhe went on to tell us howhe watched the deer run around without any motor skills for 45 minutes before he shot it through the back and out the brisket to put it down. I didn't sayanything but I left immediately. What a moron.

What sucks is that he is actually a really niceguy, just a moron.

I don't actually drink very many cold beers any more. Maybe a couple times a year out BBQ'ing I'll have a few. More of a figure of speech than anything I guess. My boys are getting into high school and keep me pretty busy. Back in the day when I was stationed out in Pearl, though, we used to throw down pretty hard. But I have mended my ways since then.;)

This guy is a horrible hunter imo, shooting something in the head when over 50 percent of the time something can go wrong even if you hit it, and he did it for fun, just a disgrace to hunters.

I am the same way. The last beer I drank was in 1987. If you think boys will keep you busy you need 3 girls. Ages 20, 13, and 6.

Part of my agree's, being from West Louisiana, they're really bad in West/South West LA, I know how bad they are. But I have very strong ethics whenever it comes to hunting, I would not have taken the shot.

My mother has called dibs on 12/11, that is her birthday. Due date is 12/16, and since they will induce early, mom may have a real chance at it.

Guys and gals.. I am one of the admin of Texasboars.com. I want to explain a few things instead of just slamming something that wasnt well written. I dont want a board war or to compare numbers or anything like that. Here is my stance and I posted it on the other board. A head shot is not a good shot. It happened to me many years ago when my equipment was great for back then but not like todays. My bow is faster and alot quieter now. This kid and I say kid,,young adult doesnt have much guidance on hunting with a bow. He saw an old photo of mine which was not on purpose and thought it would be cool..Its not and I highly reccomend not doing it with a bow.After he posted he got a few congrats,,for getting a hog and then kinda took all of his wind out of his sail by Crtergetter.. I logged in yesterday to 12 pm's and a kid trying to explain himself. He didnt post this on the board he was scared and started just trying to defend himself. I went back and forth and looked and read the post again and again. As a admin..I do hunt and I bowhunt 99% of the time I don't agree with shooting a hog in the neck with a bow no matter what broadhead. But on an admin side of things I see one post from someone who has never posted and his first post was a slam to the kid for an unethical shot..I was trying to be nice and post in other words that the shot wasnt good..Texasboars is a great site and I hope that I always represent it well. Taking kids that hunt and dont have parents that do this makes it hard at times. I have 2 young kids that are almost out in the woods daily and they will be brought up right.
As far as us being a bunch of non ethical hunters..guys ethics are really whats in our hearts it is not something you can put on paper. Laws are on paper and I try to obey them all/...notice I said try I do speed at times.
But remember this is a kid that hasnt had much guidance and he needs some positive guidance and not just a hammer on his head. I will be back because this looks like a great site and sorry I am so long winded

Critr-Gitr my youngest was born on 12/17. I guess March has always been a busy month.
