Doesn't even factor in to the equation. If I find a good looking spot that I think is holding a mature deer then I am going to hunt it. I will worry about getting the deer out after I make the shot.

I figure if I was able to get in and find the spot, I can figure out a way to get the deer out. It may take a little longer than it used to,... but what the heck, I've been real late getting out of the woods before with a deer. I think my latest was 12:30AM. Last year was a prime example. I got out at 10 PM with my buck. I was beat but happy. As a last resort I can quarter and bring it out, go for help or use the old faithful Deer Sleigh from Cablelas. It really is slick in a pinch.

Sad to say but yes it does. I am 45 and out of shape. That is not to say I have not dragged a deer for a couple of hours but there are some spots in the hills by me that i can't even hike without becoming exhausted no less dragging a deer behind me.
I can't risk my health while supporting my family
