I try and get in 1/2 hour before during archery season. Would like to do more, but it don't happen much. LOL!! During gun if I go out I try and do a hour so as I have a less chance of getting shot!

I like to be sitting in my stand 1 hour before first light. I'll relax in my climber and listen to my MP3 player for a little while. Not too wise. The deer can hear what you are listening to.

I like to get in at least a half hour before daylight, but sometimes it just doesnt happen due to not finding a good tree to climb or something along those lines.

I try to be in as early as possible cause I got to walk threw the feilds they are in so the sooner I can get in there the better i am. I never use a light so they dont detect me!

It depends on what stage of the Rut. The first 2 weeks in November, I'm in my stand all day, so i'll try and not get there to early I have killed many nice bucks mid-day during the rut. Alot of hunters are heading back to the truck by 10:00amfor a nap or lunch[:-][:-]

I like to be in 45 min before and greater if I am using my climber. Give myself time to cool down get dressed and just settle the woods, close my eyes and just listen.

One of the most enjoyable things about hunting is being in the woods before daylight and listening to the sounds in the transition between night and day. I sit for about 45 minutes to an hour before shooting light.

I said 1.5, I hunt public land and I want to be everyone else to the honey holes. I also think if your going to be hunting close to bedding areas that you either want to get there before the deer have reached there bed or well after. I hate entering the woods after 10 so I choose to be there an hr and a half early. MY .02
