This is my first post and my first bow season coming up. I've been trying to get as much information from this board for a whileand finally have a question.
There's an existing stand in a great location that I was planning to use but it's not structurally sound. Here are my options:
Fix the stand - $20-$30 in lumber
Use a climber - free, from grandfather
Use a blind - free
Rely on camo & scent control - no additional cost
As you can tell, cost is an issue, but any of these options could be done.
Let me know what you think!

first, welcome aboard! stick around and post your questions, stories etc...great bunch of guys around here..
id borrow the climber from your grandfather for the season. overhunting a stand is a very common mistake. i know i did it last year(my first bow season) the climber will allow you to be mobile and hunt different spots all with the same stand...and its free.....
good luck....

Welcome, If you plan on using the climber this fall, I would practice with it before you take it out to the woods with you. Get a feel for it and practice on being as quiet as you can. That is if you have never used one before. Good luck this season
