Sounds like you are all ate up with guilt...it's ok though, I understand. Making a paradigm shift can be painful and that pain can often times inhibit needed change which is why I exist...to promote needed change.
By the way...good luck this season

A more mature hunter than you're ever likely to be would've wished us all a happy and successful season, not tried to tell us what or how to hunt. It's none of your bloody business what someone else shoots, grow up junior...

With the season quickly approaching it is now the appropriate time to spread the message once again...it's time to come out of the cave, step into the light, mature as hunters, do the right thing, and let 'em go and let 'em grow.

The suggestion is appreciated but no thank you. I can't wait to get into the woods and see if I can get close enough to one again this year. If so, i will shoot it. Hopefully all the hours of practice will have paid off.

[:-] Is it that difficult to "fill your tags" ? Especially when you're not selective on what you shoot? I could probably fill my tags the first two days of bowseason. I'm far from "elite"[8D]
.
.
Pennsylvania bowhunters enjoy a 15-18% success rate. That means that only 15-18 hunters, out of every 100 kill anything. That includes does. I'm sure NY's numbers are close to that.
275,000 PA bowhunters took approximately 25,000 antlered deer. That's under 10%.
I'd say thatanyone who can fill their buck tag in bow season every year is defying the odds, and must be pretty damn good at whatever it is they're doing. Fact is, most people eat tag soup every year.
NYB - Before your head gets too big- while you might be a pretty good bowhunter - you still totally suck at fantasy football. Prepare to be OWNED by the Bunnies.

not sure what your response means, please elaborate on the boldface...what can't they accomplish? these hunters pass small bucks in hopes that they survive until maturity. Theydon't care if that means they eat buck tag soup, because they can kill a doe for meat in their soup. And me personally? I run to the neighbors complaining about how they got the monster before i did.[8D]
i am neither a shoot everything, nor a trophy hunter....in between. i have personal standards which i set, being around the 120 inch mark.....and if a deer doesn't come close, i let him walk, course this could be why im buckless for two years straight now, maybei shouldve dropped my standard and shot the little 4s and 6s, when i didnt succeed in meeting a personal goal.
your one to preach about instant gratification, and how it baffles you, but people "in you camp" as stated earlier shoot the first deer they see big or small. that seems pretty instantaneous to me.

Once again,I see the trophy chasersdismiss the statement that "someone else will just kill him"...........yet they can't get anything accomplished on their own. Why is that?? Could it be that everyone you let pass is getting killed by someone else??
Is that why you run to the neighbors and complain so much?
"well.....people around me......ummm.....if i didnt shoot him, someone else surely would have" guess we'll never know.

I respect what you say! Youkeepyour standards and you will be rewarded. It took me3 years of eating my tags, but the last yearI got rewarded for my standards.

I can buy unlimited antlerless tags. If I wanted I could buy a hundred. My new hunting policy is as follows......
each person that tells me to "let them grow" = one more button buck that I will intentionally shoot

Just kidding...
