Hows God Blessing you??

Lately I have been blessed with spending more time with my wife than I had thought we had left. She was diagnosed with Lukemia last Oct. She went up to Minneapolis for a bone marrow transplant in January. In March we found out it was not successful. She then got an infection and they didn't know if she would live long enough to come home. Well the infection cleared up and she was able to come back home in early April. She pays many visits to the hospitol and has good and bad days. But we are enjoying the time we have left together. Right now there is no cure for her but the meds are keeping her Lukemia in check for the most part.

JM, even though you're on thesame team as some arch enemies
,I want to say that I and I am sure others will remember your wife in prayer. It must be a very bittersweet time, sharing such closeness and cherishing your limited time, yet being able to do so, which many don't have the chance to do.

Thanks buck for this post. I often go through life and forget how lucky I am. God has blessed this sinner more than I ever deserved. At 10, I was diagnosed with an in operable spinal tumor. Spent the next 2 yrs in surgery, paralized from the waist down, dies twice on the operating table, etc. I remember lying in bed and the doctors telling my mom that I would never walk again and I would never live to be 13. I used to pray every night for God to take all the sickness and diseases and give them all to me, because I could take it and gladly would have. I also remember at night I could feel someone rubbing my legs, and I told my mom "Don't worry Jesus is making me better. I will walk again" The stupid doctors told her that it was just "ghost" feelings. At 13, I was walking and never looked back. These are just a few blessings that God has given to this humble servant. Even today, my mother is laying in Cleveland Clinic having just had a liver transplant. They told her that if that liver hadn't arrived when it did, she would have died within a week. She is still having complications but God willing she will pull through.
OBTW - if there are any of you who have any doubt about the "tunnel of light" after we die, don't worry, for some it is there. Don't wanna come across preachy but I have been blessed more than I ever deserve.
Thanks again buck. And jmbuck, all things are possible with God and I will have you in my prayers.

John....Brother...You are nothing short of a rock for even posting on this thread. I'm not SURE I could (honestly). PT is a good friend.....a good man.....and a good ear. I'd be talking to him and trying to understand as much as humanly possible were I in your shoes. I know MOTOWN (Chris) is a good man, too..and somebody I enjoy talking to. Whether he knows it or not.....I think a lot of our friendship, too.
God bless your family, buddy. I'm at a loss as to what to say, really.

Really hard to pass up a post like this. The good Lord has blessed me in so many ways for so many years. He gave me 4 beautiful daughters and just recently (July 31st) blessed me with my first grandson! I tease my girls about finally getting a boy. My daughter let me be the first to hold him.......after the new mom and dad of course! It is hard to convey the feelings I had that day. Awesome doesn't begin to describe it.
