Talk about temptation!

There is a nice archery course near where I live. It is in the woods with about 15 targets at ranges from 7-80 yards. It is a nice long walk with lots of hills and different shots - overall just a great course.

Anyway, there were 3 does not far behind the 5th target. I walked up to within 30 yards of them before they ran away.

Later on, there were 2 young velvet spike bucks together that let me get within 15 yards. Either would have been an easy shot. I told them that they would have to be more careful next month, but I don't know if they will heed my warning.

I just thought it a little bit funny to see so many deer in such a small area on an archery course.

it would have been a shame if you had missed the target and happen to hit one of those does in the heart lol
it shows alot about your love for this sport of ours and you morels not to take one down it would have been so easy for you

i had a friend that was squrril hunting a month and a half before deer season and shot a 8 point buck and had it montied and said he hit it till it was on his wall after deer season

it's those pepole that give our sport a bad name

OH man, I was just saying the same thing in a pervious post. A doe walked right above my target and I was able to get within app. 10 yards Pretty cool eh. . . I hope our luck holds out during the season.
