I use a sharp utility knife first and then steel wool to get the rest. I’m sure there are better ways, but it seems to work for me… It still takes a couple of minutes per arrow…

Bohning makes a fletching removal tool I use the Zip Strip it is a little pricey but it works well even removes the old glue.

I did what he said and it does work but that is a thing of the past.
It use to be hard for me taking fletches off too but I found out about wraps and now I don't worry about using a knife or fletch stripper. I just take a the wrap off and all the fletches come with it, then clean it with alcohol. I recommend using a wrap because of what I mention and i found out that when I fletch, thevanes seem to stick better with a wrap on plus your arrow will look prettier.

The serrated end of a pocket knife works well, just be sure you don't dig into the arrow and cut the carbon fibers. The E Z Strip is good, but Saunders makes a tool that I really, really like. I know Cabelas sells them, and they are the bomb.

i take a razor blade and scrape all of it off...dont worry bout scratching them it makes the next fletchings hold onto the arrow better...then i use steel wool and they use some denatured alochol to make the arrow surface clean and then i glue my fletching on

Tanks everyone,

One more question, I painted the back of the arrows when I was bored and buzzed last night. They look good, but will they fly any different? with maybe one arrow having more paint then another?

Its not gonna be noticeable. I used to paint my arrows white instead of using wraps and never could tell any difference.
