That is a huge natural lick Dan. Would love to see you set up a cam on it.
This is a natural lick that I found close to home last week:
Here is one I found two years back, in 2005:
Here is that same lick this year, after I added mineral blocksto it.
Great pic Dan, and beautiful wife. I've found that moisture seems to make a tremendous difference in the quality of these natural licks. This year there has been virtually no moisture. It's frustrating.

Cool picture Dan.....it would be really neat to set up a trail camera there just to see what different types of animals have traveled there to use the mineral lick!

What often looks like a natural mineral lick in idaho...Was initially 200 lbs of rock salt 10 yearsprior.. LOL I found a wicked one.. a few days ago scouting a new mountain, its been around for years and is a huge crator like you guys are showing..elk, deer and moose tracks all over it..Here it could be cattle based orignally since this area is a heavily used open cattle range spot, but do to its location I am pretty sure its was man-ip-ulated..for wapati

It is like a HUGE rock or hill of some mineral and you can see where the deer scrape, lick, and kneel down in it.
Absolutely awesome! defenitely a money saver!
