Sorry to hear that, Motown... and I agree with you on both counts about God's decision, but also doing what we can. Again, sorry to learn of your loss.

I'm in pretty good shape all year long. I work out throughout the year and get a LOT of excersise at "work" [:-]. I'm fit as a fiddle going into bowseason. That being said, by the end of bowseason I am less 30 pounds and my body is really whooped. I dont' know how someone that is out of shape does it (if they are a diehard bowhunter). Good post.

i dropped 25lbs this summer...i was gettin a little plump...i was 230 in june..im now at 205. i eat the same...i dont eat toooo bad for an American...just was always busy working or doing school work etc to work out. this summer i started landscaping. thats the only change i made in life. i eat more here than i do at college..and less healthier foods probably. even when i was 230 i never had troubles hunting. guess thats the perks of being 20. i do want to start running and doing some situps and pushups...i didnt think id loose as much as i did...so now my goal is 200 or less...very doable..exspecially with another week in the 90s. and i want to keep it off...no reason for a 20yo to be overweight...though im sure im still overweight on the charts....but the charts arent built like me...im built like a brike chit house..id look sick if i weighed what the charts say i should...

Stick to those goals Rick you will feel so much better in the end. Im pullin for ya!
I was 228lbs back around the first of the year, i was having asthma like symptoms (weezing when over exerting) got sick of it and decided to do something about it. I simply started eating five to six small meals a day instead of over gorging, cut off all sweats and soda pop, drinkjust shy of a gallon of water everyday now, some juice and some milk. Im Lifting three to four days a week, running one to two miles three days a week or walking incline coal belts at work to keep the weight in check. Im riding a compfy 195 lbs right now. And you cant believe the energy boost i now have. Good luck and for gods sake stick with it!! Health is everything!!

I am about 5'10 an weighed 217during Jan. I started drinking water an diet drinks (only) an watching what I eat staying on the low fat side mostly. I am now at 195 an hope to be around 190 by the end of the summer. I think that will be good enough for me.

It seems that people never have time to take care of themselves until a doctor tells them they better start. I've been guilty of that myself lately.

Good for you trying to improve your health Rick.

You are doing it right by building up to a goal. To many of us just jump into working out after sitting around all year and either injure ourselves or worse.

Drinking a lot of water is a good tip. If you do not get enoughwater in your body to flush out the crap and also help us sweat out toxins and help with digestion it's a lot harder to get in shape and loose weight.

I'd stay away from a lot of Gatorade and drinks like that when you are not working out. They're only meant for when you are exercising and not meantto hydrate when you are just sitting around and all the salt and sugar can be counter productive.

Eating more small meals is also a good idea. The body can digest meals better if it is digesting throughout the day.

Sorry to hear that Mo. I am sure he will be with you this fall in his own way. Said a small prayer for you and your family.
