Default tree stand or gound blind

I've had some pretty good success hunting tree stands but this last spring bear season i tried using a ground blind at my bait site. I had it down wind and as scent proofed as possible. One day i was sittin there and heard a loud sniff at the back of the blind and looked to see my bear running quiclky out of there. what did i do wrong or is that just a risk of ground blind huntin?

A bear's nose is quite a bit more sensitive than a deer's. I doubt you can scent-proof enough to fool them. He smelled you.
