Default W.T.H. kind of customer service is this?

In case HNI doesn't like it, I wont mention the name of the business.

Anyway, last week MondayI ordered (2) 9/32 inch tube style peeps online. Thursday when they arrived they were in factNOT 9/32 but rather 3/16. I called the online storeandthey said they'd send the right ones. Mind you, no apologies whatsoever.

Wednesday of this week the supposed correct peep sights arrive. And accompanying them is a note that says"sorry the 9/32 is no longer available."These 2 new peeps they sent are 1/4 inch.

At this point the question begs asking... Why would you send your customer the wrong items and expect that they'd be happy with them? It's like paying for a Honda in advance then being sent a Huyndaiand being told, ooops sorry no more Hondas, hope this huyndai is alright. Did they reason that 1/4 was close enough to 9/32 so what the heck, just give him that? IDIOTS!

Well, now I don't know if I should pursue this any further. I have 4 wrong sized peeps in hand and am out 13 bucks. (luckily this happened on some cheap peep sights) I'm thinking I should call them and tell them to credit my card then when I see that I'll send the items back to them minus shipping. But... at this point I really don't care and would much rather just toss the peeps in the garbage and be out the 13 bucks. Of course I'd then be "stealing" 2 of the peep sights.

Any thoughts?

I understand your concern. However, in making lemonade out of a lemon, the slightly bigger hole might help you see that buck in low light conditions. You'll be out most of your money if you send it back (though you are in the right to do so).

I think some of you might be missing the point. What I have is not what I ordered, and I'm out some money. If when you pay money for something specificbut you get something else and that's making a mountain then I guess I'm making a mountain.

The reason why I need a 9/32 is because I want to perfectly overlap that peep sight around my round pin gaurd when shooting. 1/4 is too small and 5/16 is too big. Yes I'm that specific because when you spend about a grand on a new set-up, it has to be to your exactliking or you're not completely happy with it.

That though is not the issue because I'll find a way around it. The issue is that although they had my phone number, and I'd already talked to them prior where I stressed 9/32 to them, they went ahead and sent the wrong thing again. I think it's common sense to call your customer and say you don't havewhat they want instead of sending something they never ordered... AGAIN

I think its a little odd that they screwed up twice, i would be hot as well, but in therse matters, there isnt too much that you can do, its b.s. but some things are just like that, you could go all out and call them and send angry letters and all that, but in the end, you will still have the wrong product and out of the 13 dollars. that is a bummer though, I would be mad as well.

2 each 1/4" peeps + 1 each 9/32" drill + Two minutes of time = 2 each 9/32" peeps. I don't think it's quite that easy to make Hondas out of Hyundais.[8D]

I agree with deerslayer.Besides, once you have told them their scew up (twice)and told them that doing business with them is over I think that is all you can do.This is a good reminder that ther is alot of dishonest people.
