I would DEMAND my $13 back + pain and suffering!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't involve magic but have you ever tried to ream out something as small and fragile as a peep sight? You can't stick it in a vice 'cause it's plastic and will deform from the crush of the vice which will only give you an egg anywaywhen you're done drilling. Then when you're holding it with one hand and drilling with the other, the drill bites and twists the peep out of the grip of your fingers. Drilling something like 1/8 out to 3/16 might be simple 'cause there's alot of meterial to work with. With a 1/4 peep, the wall is already thin as it is. I'd like to see someone drill one out freehand and have the arpeture anddrill anglebe straight and true all the way through.

Another thing you probably didn't think about with your last post is that manufacturers design their peeps with a minimum wall thickness depending on the tensil strength of the material used. A 3/16 peep is not cut out of the same stensil that a 1/4 is. You know this because you've seen smaller peeps having less bulk to them. I know this because I'm looking at the two sizes. What I'm saying is that if you drill the 1/4 stensil out to 9/32 the wall collapses in a week of shooting. I've done it time and again to different peeps with identical results.

Here in lies the perfect example of "Why you should support your local proshop". For a couple pennies(maybe) you could walk into a store(local proshop)and get what you want. I wouldn't think about ordering such things online. Before I'd do that I'd spend an extra buck for mail and have Len send it to me. Or, you could drill out the 1/4 inch or you could shorten your loop. There are so many ways to arrive at the same point. Life is just too short to get all bent out of shape over these things.

As for sight picture, no it doesn't make noticeable difference.But for what i'm trying to accomplish, 1/32 is as different as night and day when you're trying to have your round pin gaurd fit perfectly inside the circular view through the peep arpeture.

For cryin' out loud, dude! Why didn't you say these were junky plastic peeps to start with? Plastic ones ALWAYS egg out, especially the large sizes.

Oh Arthur you jokester, I know you know you knew that at the price of 2 for $13.00 they'd have to be plastic. But hey, if youfind2 for 13 deals on peeps made of expensive aircraft materials, let us know so we can buy up the inventory then recycle for riches!

I've done it twice. I couldn't tell you what the two sizes were off the top of my head, but I've done it twice....neither time did it 'egg out' or break. Actually, both times I did it, the peep sight was still in the string, on the bow, under tension. You don't need a power drill either. I did it with the drill bit in a pair of vice grips, that wayI could control how fast/much it was cutting. It worked out fine for me. If you are really curious, let me know and I'll find out what diameters I did on the second one (first bow is sold). I know I drilled it a 32nd bigger, but I can find out what it is and what it was.

Not receiving what you ordered is wrong. I would call them and see what kind of arrangement can be made to get your money back.

Although I agree with the quote above. I also think that 1/32 is never going to be noticeable no matter what you say your trying to acomplish. It's just to small a measurement for your eye to see.
