I already made a promise to Matt / PA to wear one, since he was kind enough to give me one of his extras, so this year I PROMISE I will have my harness on.

got one on backorder at bass pro right now.....have a rain check from the fall classic seeing as how the dont ever have sale items in stock during the sale. third year ina row that weve been down, and came back with nothing but a rain check. o well hopefully i get before sept 1.

i never have worn one before this year. my stands were hung relativelylow, and falling wasn't a real threat. i allso mainly hunted ladder stands, which give u false sense of security.

this year ive hung all my stands at or above 20 feet, and at that height, i don't feel comfortable standin up in the stand without holdin on to somethin, or somethin holdin onto me.

i never leave the ground without mine. to me, thats just foolish. im not afraid of heights...not afraid to sit in my stand...but anything can happen. one day it was wet out...rubber+metal+rain=slick. i almost went down. close enough to feel the tension between me and my harness.

I have made that promise to my wife, kids and parents. I make it again here. I PROMISE to never hunt from a tree without a harness.

Trying to keep this one bumped, epically with alot of new people joining and the season's starting for some and close for others. Cant stress the importance. Just like your car, always wear your safety belt!
