Well I guess to prove a point that if these guys are making iffy shots on tv... Then your average joe hunter is prob doing it too...
Couldn't help but laugh out loud. I couldn't have said it better myself. You've personally proven it to me.

So you get to hunt prime private property. Kill a decent 3.5 year old buck and thats it... You never get to go back anymore... I dont believe that you only hunt public land only... I belive you hunt both... Prob hunt your public land during the early season and save the farm for the rut

Just ME.....but I would have waited. Too manydeer around for me to take that chance. It's just a deer......God's making more of them every year.
I agree......My day/year/life won't be wrecked if I leave the woods empty handed, but I'd feel terrible if I took a shot like that and it didn't turn out the way I planned it to go. There is so much that can go wrong with a perfect broad side shot much less a head shot.

I'm glad it worked out for you but I feel you were more lucky than anything else.

i'm only allowed to hunt that property once in a while and only with a rigfle. Think what you want. By the way.I see deer bigger than mine on public land.

Haha, nice looking graph you got there.

Longbeard, how many headshots do you have under your belt? Any that turned sour? I'm curious.

That was funny buddy.

Would not ever take a head shot on a deer, to me it just doesn't seem right.
