For ya'll that set your fixed stands in the spring and leave them there, do you readjust them every year? What I mean is, if we leave the stand on the tree for too long the tree will obviously grow around it and we won't be able to take it down. What do you guys do? Do you go out every spring, unscrew the steps and move them just a little bit, as well as the stand?

allour stands are checked anytime we am near them or before we use them.

We have several that are left up all year round. Check them all the time.

I do leave a few stands in all year. I take any padding off and I just loosen the straps a little. I alway replace the strap every year, because weather and animals may damage it. I don't move the stand but I will reset it to make sure it has a good hold.

Any that I put in at spring I leave alone through out the season

I always re-visit all of my stands in the spring, back the pegs out one turn, check the stand, and freshen up the lanes.
