IL....it's only 7+ days.....and I agree that it's low.
Not sure which "numbers" you're speaking of being skewed, rybo. If you're talking about the overall herd numbers.....the low figure of 50-60 came from the wildlife biologist. I think he low-balled me. I think there's 1.5X that many. There's gettin ready to be less.
Sometimes numbers like that can be skewed depending on time between pics, and location. I can put a cam on the neighbors apple tree, set it to shoot every minute and have 100 pics overnight with just a couple does and fawns chowing down. You won't see a buck there at all. Don't really know why. Then you stick the cam after hunting season, 50 yds back in the woods and you'll get about 80% bucks over does.

Wow. Good luck. Know what you mean though. Lots of does and and occasional yearling buck in day time at mineral lick and the occassional 8 point who comes through every other night or so. But its at night and I don't know if I can wait for the rut for them to switch shifts if presented an opportunity at a nice fat doe early on. I only get one deer this year on our property (instead of 3 last year) thanks to new management rules impacting archery as well for the first time. So at least you can tag away at multiple does and hold out for that big guy. Good luck and sounds like a nice property to hunt!
