I think I would get a bunch of inexpensive arrows
I picked a BAD year to switch to a/c/c's, didn't I?[&:]
Actually, I have been shooting A/C/C's for 9 years and pass throughs are almost always reuseable. Change out the broadhead blades and you are good to go again... at least most of the time.

I've already bought 18 sets of replacement blades for my muzzys!

Farm:

Mister....you and I can shoot does here, any time. I wish you'd come over and shoot some 3D with Mitch and I, sometime. We will DEFINITELY be doe hunting here, this Fall. I just have limited places I can take you......but you're welcome to hunt here, any time. In fact....you can hunt with Mitch opening morning in my prime spot.....and I'll take another spot (Farm knows my son)....if you want to.

mobo....ABSOLUTELY I have some "repeat customers". We estimate (wildlife biologist told me) the herd here to be around 50-60.

Figure I'm hunting deer that are traversing a square mile (est.).......and you see why I kept a detailed journal like I did, last year....and why the biologist wants me to take out several does.

I fully agree that there's only a certain number of deer, here. I got over 120 images, last year, in a span of 3 days. But....the numbers are a bit out of whack. Not as bad as many might think.....but...over the top (probably 4:1-5:1).
WOW! That's a lot of deer man!! How many acres? How many are you wanting to whack this year, what's your goal?

mobo....I only have access to 60 acres or so (+/-). A square mile is 640 acres.

I'd guess I'm likely dealing with more deer than the bio tells me I am....but I'll defer to his knowledge (based on my journal numbers). I'd say it was more like 80 or more. Lisa and I counted alomst 30 the other evening just riding around looking into fields.

I'd like to take 12-18 out of the herd. I don't care WHO takes them. I suppose I'll end up shooting around 8, though,......if I had to guess.

I will be doing some doe managing again this year like i have in the past. There have been 25-30 does in the clover the last few nights. There are also a lot of bucks in the other field but i would stil like to lower the number of does....

Sometimes numbers like that can be skewed depending on time between pics, and location. I can put a cam on the neighbors apple tree, set it to shoot every minute and have 100 pics overnight with just a couple does and fawns chowing down. You won't see a buck there at all. Don't really know why. Then you stick the cam after hunting season, 50 yds back in the woods and you'll get about 80% bucks over does.
