Boy, you'all need to take a deeep breath!, all stories have two sides. To start, it sucks driveing over an hour to get to your local archery shop, I know, I had to do it last week just to get a little plastic cable guide for my Tribute so I could go hog hunting on Saterday, I feel the pain. But, like he said, he tested a few, and waited a couple of months later, the man he was dealing with wasnt there yet, he might not of even known the bow that was still in the box was even sold the day befor. Good posibility the man he was making the deal with was not able to make any changes of the price of the bow in question. Ill be the first to say that the Tribute is a fantastic bow, and there is alot more other brands that are just as good, if you want the Tribute have them order it in and pick it up when it gets there. As far as getting one off the internet, BAD IDEA!!!!, Bowtech will not honer any waranties of their equipment purchased off the internet, new or used. Life is too short to be worried about the little things, though one thing I can say about the dealer you are useing, his prices are HIGH, I only paid 649.00 for mine, you might try some other dealers even if you have to drive two hours.

You say that BowTech doesn't warranty their bows sold on the internet, but they offer a program for customers that don't have a dealer within' so many miles from them??? Something isn't adding up.

I feel the bow dealer should have been up front on the phone about the bow being a demo.
Many on here feel that he should have just bought it. I wonder how many of those same people would act if they were shopping for a new truck. They call a dealer an hour away and get told that they have the truck you are looking for. You show up at the dealership to find that the truck has 500 miles on the odometer. You also notice it has several dings and scratches on it. It was a demo model. You were never told that on the phone before you made the hour drive.Would YOU pay full price? I don't think so.
That Bowtech dealer was just trying to get rid of his demo model. He probably felt he could make an easy sell to someone new to archery. He probably didn't think you would notice it was a demo.
Find another dealer. Drive 2 hours if you have to, but don't give that first guy a cent.

Dings and scratches are one thing. Other than that, how many new cars are sold with absolutely no test drives on them and 0 miles?
Only the ones that are ordered specifically for that customer...............[8D]

Would you buy a demo truck after you drove an hour to see it and the dealer mentioned nothing about it being a demo? Also if the dealer was selling it with no discount?
I know of onemini vanthat was sold with 0 miles.
We test drove their demo model.
Bought several ATVs that had 0 miles on them.
I just feel a demo model of anything should not be sold at an "at new" price.

Buy a bow, don’t buy one. What ever. If this is what you want order one or find a different dealer. But what I don’t get is why if this is such a big deal. Why would you think about buying a different bow? Sounds like you don’t know if you really want it! Because when I wanted my new Vectrix XL 28.5” 60 Lbs my dealer didn’t have it so I ordered it. But if he would have jacked me around I would have no problems driving to the next guy and getting it there. Even if I had to drive longer.
Next question if the dealer said on the phone that he had one that was new but a few customers tried it, what would of you done? Order one, buy that one, or buy something different?
Also if he would have taken a few bucks off for the scratch you would have bought it. Which means that the scratch does not bother you to much, it’s just the fact that he would not give you a deal? If my new bow would of had a scracth on it, it would of been going back. I would not want the money off, I like to scratch my own bow(kind of funny that way). Ithink you see my point.

Back to the subject.I got myVectrix XL from Lancaster Archery at the Harrisburgshow. They took it from the box and put on EXACTLY what I wanted, set center shot, and gave it to meready to be shot for the "first" time. For this kind of money my bow is coming directly from abox, I'm not bashful!
