hunting arrows for me.

so heres my dilema. i got 7 Easton Epics left. busted the rest of the dozen by shooting them. i could buy another half dozen and be set...BUT....i shot the heck out of those 7 arrows. literally thousands of shots. i busted the other arrows early on last year then got smart and started shooting spots..but i shot ALOT. now 2 need refletched so my 1000 or so shots this year been on 5 arrows...i definently think its time for a new set regaurdless...and i dont like how short they are. if i draw back hard with broadheads it can be bad news for me when it hits the rest and the broadhead hits me in the arm(dont ask me how i know...thankfully it was dull)
heres the delema. im shooting those, that weigh in at 380grs or so finished at 260fps.
i been looking long and hard at Carbon Express terminator select hunters. 12gpi and are a carbon composite arrow which is supposed to be made like a tank. tolerances make the epics look like junk. they arent that much more..i think 20$ more a dozen. with a 125gr head they should be 500-525grs finished..shooting between 230 and 240fps with roughly 65ft/lbs of KE.
should i go with the terminators?? im a hunter. thats what i do. i target shoot and goto 3d shoots to practice...i dont take long shots in the woods...
i think the extra weight will do me good and no harm. sure i'll loose a few FPS..maybe adjust my sights slightly...but for the extra weight, KE and momentum i think its a good move....but thats why im here to ask....getting ready to order them and my string this week...i need to get it all good n tuned by the end of august when i leave back to college...then i can only shoot 3days a week not 7
...so i like to have it good and tuned and shooting broadheads with my fieldpoints by the end of august...

That's a pretty sound decision, and you can't go wrong w/ the arrows. CX makes top shelf stuff. KE w/ your light arrows is 57 and some change. You're right on in your estimates on the others, I came up w/ 240 fps and almost 64 pounds of KE.......I think it'sgood decision, especially if you aren't concerned w/ the speed issue.

With whatever arrow you decide to go with it sounds to me u might wanna check out a pro shop to get those arrows cut to proper length so u dont have that problem with the broadhead hiitin ur rest? At least thats the way im taking it?

Sounds like a good hunting decision. 515gr is awefully heavy, I would play around with the numbers of some other CX Terminator series arrows and see which is the best. You can't go wrong whatever you do, the heavy arrow will also help make the bow shoot quieter too.

500-525grs isnt heavy compared to some guys on here...and the alumanum shooters...heavy for a carbon arrow...ya it is..
but im a hunter. say i screw up and hit a backbone or a shoulder. i want to smash it. i want penetration. i dont want my arrow stopped.
and the 20-30fps isnt a big deal. what difference is that gunna make at 25 and less to a deer?? none...hes gunna get smashed by my tank arrow weather he likes it or not because 20 or 30fps doesnt mean that much.
westernMd...my arrows were the right legnth to start...BUT i ran into spine issues. i had to cut 2" off my shafts to get my spine stiff enough. AND move my rest as far back as possible. now, at full draw the head sits right past the prongs...i know i shouldnt be shootin like that...and broadheads...talk about scarey. i had one i overdrew and it fell off and landed on my arm. thankfully it was duller than could be...somehow i got it off my arm and let down the draw..
think im gunna go with the terminator select hunters...gunna order my string this payday and my arrows next...(shouldnt spent all my money on a groundhog rifle...) then by the time i get them both i'll have the money to have the arrows built and have the string put on and stuff...and still gimme a couple weeks to tune the bow and broadheads before i leave for college
