Default RE: hunting arrows for me.

500-525grs isnt heavy compared to some guys on here...and the alumanum shooters...heavy for a carbon arrow...ya it is..

but im a hunter. say i screw up and hit a backbone or a shoulder. i want to smash it. i want penetration. i dont want my arrow stopped.

and the 20-30fps isnt a big deal. what difference is that gunna make at 25 and less to a deer?? none...hes gunna get smashed by my tank arrow weather he likes it or not because 20 or 30fps doesnt mean that much.

westernMd...my arrows were the right legnth to start...BUT i ran into spine issues. i had to cut 2" off my shafts to get my spine stiff enough. AND move my rest as far back as possible. now, at full draw the head sits right past the prongs...i know i shouldnt be shootin like that...and broadheads...talk about scarey. i had one i overdrew and it fell off and landed on my arm. thankfully it was duller than could be...somehow i got it off my arm and let down the draw..

think im gunna go with the terminator select hunters...gunna order my string this payday and my arrows next...(shouldnt spent all my money on a groundhog rifle...) then by the time i get them both i'll have the money to have the arrows built and have the string put on and stuff...and still gimme a couple weeks to tune the bow and broadheads before i leave for college
