Good review. I always liked High Country. My brother still has his High County Sniper, I remember when he first got it. That thing was sweet. That Iron Mace you got looks pretty sharp as well.

Very slick man, I gotta say I think these are the most underrated hunting bows out there right now. They have some of the very best of top shelf components included out of the box and all the features one could want in a hunting bow. Congrats, I am sure this one will be around for quite a while.

You're absolutely right Rick. When I took this bow to the shop to have it put together - the owner said "You got this bow for HOW MUCH?!" "There's no way they could possibly bemaking any money on these things. Those limbs alone are pricedthrough the roof, and a set of WC strings is a $50 upgrade."

I went through the Average Joe Staff Shooter program, and got the bow, after tax, for $550.

Anyone interested, PM fastpassthrough on here or AT, or call High Country archery at 423-949-5000.

yes, Germ.

It's the "tiffany" signature line.....and it's got a change purse, lipstick holder and it goes out of tune 5 days a month for no apparent reason.

Are you sure you can handle 45#? You really don't need all that weight just for hunting whitetails. I know a guy, and his brother's cousin's uncle's nephew twice-removed - they kill P&Y bucks every year with atlatls.

To be honest quick your bow at 60 pounds will out perform my 75# ROSS. You really have peaked my intrest in this bow. For 550 bucks I am gamed!!

Gary - Dude, if you lived closer, I'd drive out and let you shoot this thing. I couldn't be more pleased with it. Seriously, anyone buying a new bow would be remiss if they didn't give the new HCA line a long, hard look. I was expecting it to be a bear to draw, a bear to hold, and a rattletrap on the shot. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

This bow is basically a Bowtech Allegiance, with upgraded limbs, an upgraded string, and a roller-guard (which keeps you from smashing your hand on the cableguard on let-down). Then, they're willing to stand behind it all the way down to 3gpp, and it's STILL at least $100 cheaper than the Ally.

The jury is still out on their arrows, I won't know until I get them fletched up. I'm expecting real-world hunting arrow speeds in the 340 range with them. Even if they suck, I'm sure the companies like Gold Tip, Easton, et al - have taken notice, and aren't too far away from releasing ultralight, ultra-stiff arrows that will void your warranty on any bow.... except an HCA.
