yeah, I don't buy that draw thing one bit... and, yep Walt... I've got that magical little piece of paper in my possession already.
I told the lady on the phone I was donating too... $439. [8D]I think that was enough of a donation on my part...

O I won't tell you what it cost me to hunt IL.

I am amazed at the amount of bickering you all do to get into the state of IL to hunt! I will buy my tags the day before the bow opener at a gas station and will hunt here almost everyday until january. Typical Illinois BS, have some decency, we don't just let anybody into our amazing whitetail territory! You could, of course, hunt your own state!!!!!!!!!!!

bhunter, I'm going to ignore your immature, juvenile post for the most partand hope that you grow up a bit if you decide to hang around our forum in the future.
"Have some decency? We don't let just anyone in?" C'mon... Your state will let anyone in who's willing to pony up the money. It's ALL about the almighty dollar, and it doesn't have a thing to do with determining who's "good enough" to meet your wishful thinking... Don't kid yourself. That's the reason it was $110 just a few short years ago and it's tripled almost overnight. Or is your standard who can shell out the bucks, and you're proud that that's the way you determine who can hunt and who can't?
Anyway... the reason I came back to this thread was to say I was mistaken and allay some fears... Upon closer inspection, the permit I received today signifies that I bought the non-resident hunting permit, the habitat stamp and that I've APPLIED for the non-resident archery tag... they may very well draw it later when they said they would. Still a convoluted process, and the website not being up and ready to handle applications didn't help any.

Greg, I was going to ask you that very question, if it was the huntin permit and habitat stamp. But you being an all knowing moderator, I figured you had checked that out already. I guess I owe The great state of IL a very small apoligy. But the process still stinks.[&:]
