I have only hunted private ground in CO near Montrose. Gunnison public area has a lot of elk though in that same part of the state. I think iamyourhuckleberry lives, guides, and hunts CO. See if you can find him. He is probably full of good info.

About 15bowhunters are coming in from across the USA. We get together the last week of the season (prime rut) in unit 45 ( an OTC area near Vail, Colorado). You are welcome to join us. PM me.
