Default Q2XL string noise?

I purchased a Q2XL last spring and love shooting it, but I am convinced it has gotten noiser as I have shot it in practice. It is not a rattle from something loose but just a loud thunk. Can this be stopped by changing whiskers? Do you think I could be over sensitive to noise? One of the local pro shops has indicated that in the past.

Noise will be a lot more noticeable to you holding the bow than something 20 yards away. I was convinced my bow was loud until people at the range remarked how quiet my bow was. You might try leeches instead of whiskers. Put a leach on your cable as well as 2 on the string. The one on the cable seems to really make a difference.

Replace or have the string twisted up. As it stretchs it lets the string osolate more giving you more noise.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

If you haven't already, you shold put on a pair of limb savers on the limbs. The bow is very quiet as is, but those do make a difference. You might also consider trying a more shock absorbing stabilizer like the doinker.
