Need 115 gr field tips

Default Need 115 gr field tips

Does anyone know where I can find 115 gr screw in field tips (5/16")? I am shooting the 115 muzzy broadheads and would like the same gr field tip, havn't been able to find any!

Now that you mention that, I don't think I've ever SEEN 115 gr. field tips....We don't carry them at the shop I know...

If you know someone that has a precision machine lathe, you could simply make a pass across a 125 gr. field point - and reduce its weight by 10 grains. It might take a couple of trys to determine how much to remove on the first one, but once you got there it would be very repeatable. I would recommend first making a steel fixture, with the same internal dimensions as an insert, for holding the field tips the same each time. Good luck. Roskoe

From a perfectly tuned rig you'll find that there shouldn't really be a difference froma 100gr toa 115 head.
