50 points? ! Isn't that more than some of the buck scored.[8D] I'm sorry some had to say it (without mentioning any names. ).....2 Doe would score 100, that's a little steep compared to a 100" buck. If that were to be voted in, I don't think doe should be more than 25" each. (Not to put a nonworthyness on an incredible animal like a doe)

Take it one step farther. A doe vs fawn point system. A fawn doe/button shouldn't be counted the same as a doe.

See this could get sticky. ? See where I'm driving at?

Washington is a one tag state.

Three point minimum or antlerless.

Unless you draw a second antlerless only tag, you're only allowed one deer per year.

Food for thought;

What happens to a team that gets 90% people allowed multiple deer and another team that has only say 30% allowed multiple deer?

If someone is willing to put out the time and effort to go through and make sure each team is evenly matched it might work, otherwise some teams may indeed have an unfair advantage.

I shot a BB, last year......and I agrew that it shouldn't count.

A doe is a doe is a doe, though.

50 points was arbitrary. make it whatever you want, Rob. you run the show.

I'd say there's VERY FEW members who TRULY DON'T have the OPPORTUNITY to take a doe. That bieng said....it would be relatively easy to either sort those members ahead of time and assign them to the various teams, separately (to make sure they don't congregate).....OR simply adjust, based on the number of members of the team that CAN take does.

Yeah. 50x2=100. It makes the does VERY important. What's wrong with that? 100 PLUS 50 =150. It makes MY doe JUST as important as the guy from IL doe, too (which can't be said for our respective bucks).

It's a thought.

Rob if you look at AT contest the team that shot the most does did not win. I know because it was my team We came in third

The bucks still matter, granted 10 guys shooting 20 does is 1000 points.

WH
it is about as fair as team of Midwest guys against east coast guys in the buck only contest

Now I'm only suggesting that ONE DOE PER MAN be counted. ONE buck and ONE doe.

I think participation would be MUCH better if does are allowed.. Some guys forget that MOST bowhunters do not kill a buck each year... Just look at the stats, there were A LOT of guys that did not get a buck, but I bet a lot of them did get a doe...

I think one per member at 50 points..

I like the idea of counting does. I have been in the contest all 3 years and last year was the first time I shot a buck. I did however get a doe all 3 years. Maybe to address the fawn/doe issue is go by weight. A doe over 100 pounds is 50 points and under 100 is 25 points. Might also get some guys to stick around. Last year I think we had 2 guys never come back after they checked in. Also I don't think Todd ever entered his buck.

I really like the idea that does should be counted but i agree with Rob in that they should be worth 25" max
