I raise whitetails and my bucks are up about 1in

That might the case with captive deer where you are however, I'm still hearing reports of bucks with last years antlers, in fact I saw one when I was in KS. Some don't fall off until the new growth pushes them off, should be anytime here in PA but the last buck I saw I didn't see an 1" growth at all.

My brother in laws farm raised deer are also starting to grow. They too are at about 1". BTW, welcome to the forums.

Deer are individuals and dont all start or stop the antler growth cycle on the same day. A few years ago I saw a road killed buck in mid-April that had 4-6" of new growth and a week later saw a buck that was still carrying a rack from the year before. I also raise a small herd of captive deer and can tell you with 100% certainty that they dont all start and stop at the same time.

i got trail cam pics last week of a nice 2.5 yr old on april 2nd that still had both antlers, and in the same roll of film i got a buck with about 1 " of antler growth already!!! I am in Illinois

I did spot one two days ago driving thru our lease. He was standing at the edge of the road and had aprox 1" of new jutting out of his head. He was only about 100 yards from my trail cam and headed that way. mabey i will have a pic to back it up.
