New Bithday Question
Okay so the new bow sounds nice. Here's what I need to figure out though... I don't go hunting because I am a freeze baby and we live in MN. so that wouldn't give me enough time in the stand. But we have talked about me getting a bow just so that we can shoot together. He goes out and shoots with our 7 yr. old(boy) and 5 yr old(girl) Our kids inhereted some bows that his grandpa made and I sanded them down, restained and laquered them. I don't think I can afford 2 bows. My husband is going to be 28. How risky would it be for me to find a used bow for myself? I would probably need a youth bow. I am only abot 5'4" and weigh abot 110. I am not very strong so the weight would need to be a lot less than the bow he has so I can't use his. So maybe you can help me come up with something. Wanna hear about stabalizers. He doesn't have one. What do you recommend. He has a SilverHawk. You may not be able to find a lot of info on them cuz they don't make them anymore.

RE: New Bithday Question
You could check around and find a decent youth/woman's used bow for yourself. They are not hard to come by if you check around. Kids outgrow bows all the time.
As far as stabilizers, there are a ton of them on the market. With an older bow such as your husbands, it might not be worth spending too much on any of the higher end fancy ones but don't waste your money on just lead weights either. If you decide on one, get one with some dampening properties.
